World Cup 2010 - England vs Germany HT

OH MY F-KING GOD.

Well, firstly I have to admit that our team (england) are pretty crap at the moment. There's no denying that, bothered by injury and bad luck. Also there's more than an air of discontent within the team probably due to John Terry's antics and the reprocussions of Gerrard being the new captain.

So it was enevitable when Germany scored, even when they scored their second goal. But then 37 minutes in Upson heads in a surprisingly good cross from Frank Lampard (if I remember rightly).

A minute or two later Lampard lubs the ball past the keeper and hit the crossbar causing it to bounce into the goal. The referree motions to play on, no goal.
But what he and his inept assistants failed to see was that the ball hit the ground a foot behind the line.

It should be 2 - 2 at half time, sadly it remains at 2 - 1 to Germany.

The only highlight to all this is "watching" the game through the tweets that are popping up on twitter's world cup featurette.

I can't see England winning, but there I've been saying that for days.
